What does a monthly laptop insurance subscription cost?
This depends on the price of your laptop and selected excess levels, but our cover for laptops starts from as little as £4.49.
How does the Arma Karma laptop insurance subscription work?
Just enter the details of your laptop and a little about yourself, choose your charity who we’ll donate 25% of our revenue to, and sit back knowing your laptop is protected!
What are the main conditions on the laptop insurance policy?
Your laptop must have been purchased in the UK, within the last 3 years. Second-hand items must be refurbished by the manufacturer.
Can I insure second-hand laptops?
We do refurbished laptop insurance, so long as it falls within its 12-month warranty provided by the retailer
Can I insure a laptop that was bought by someone else and gifted to me?
You can! As long as the laptop is less than 2 years old since purchase, and you’ll still need to provide a receipt should you make a claim – so ask the gifter to keep this safe!
Can I cover the laptop of someone under 18 on an adult's policy?
That’s fine! As long as the policy holder has proof of ownership/ purchase, as these are required if/when a claim is made.
How do I cancel my laptop insurance subscription?
Simply get in touch with us on our live chat, or email hello@armakarma.insure and we will walk you through the process.
What is the maximum number of laptops I can insure under one subscription?
You can insure up to 5 items on any Arma Karma policy. The more items you add, the bigger the multi-item discount, too!
Can laptops with different owners be insured under the same policy?
In this instance, we would recommend each owner taking out a policy, in case an incident occurs in the possession of someone not named on the policy, as this would likely end up voiding a claim.
Can I add or remove laptops from an ongoing monthly insurance policy?
Not a problem, simply get in touch on our live chat or email hello@armakarma.insure and we can amend your policy for you.
I need to make a claim. What do I do?
Simple. Head over to Claims, where our expert claims team will help get everything sorted. Alternatively, please call 0333 400 9048 (local rate call) and a member of the claims team will assist you
Please be aware you’ll require proof of purchase or ownership to claim. This could be a reciept, bank statement, email confirmation, etc.
If I do need to make a claim, how long will it take to receive compensation?
We do our best to get claims resolved as quickly as possible. Usually, we can resolve a claim within 48 hours, however, this may depend on what type of claim is being made.
What is the excess if I have to make a claim?
This is dependent on the price of your item and what you choose, our excesses are £35, £75, £125, and £175.
Can I insure a desktop computer or PC with Arma Karma?
Yes! Add these under Household Gadgets, if bought as a complete PC. Add components individually if they were purchased standalone.
Can I trust you?
Absolutely! We may not fit the typical old insurance look, but we have all the same protections and accountability measures in place. As an insurance intermediary we are held to account by the Financial Conduct Authority and can be found on their online searchable register. We are supported by “A” rated insurers, which means we have the highest quality insurance partner backing.
More importantly, we actively ask for reviews from our existing customer base which will give you the clearest picture of how we treat our subscribers and how their subscriptions are working for them!
