Arma Karma is a monthly insurance subscription service created by renters, for renters. Millions of people are going without insurance for their expensive items because existing products didn’t fit their needs. With Arma Karma, items such as phones, laptops, bikes and jewellery (to name a few) can be covered under one policy, at home, outside and abroad.

How are we different?
Subscription-based
Arma Karma dishes out subscriptions not policies. This means our subscribers are free to cancel their cover at any time with no fees.
Portable
Unlike contents insurance, an Arma Karma subscription covers valuable items outside the home and abroad, where the risk of damage, loss and theft is greater.
Adaptable
Subscribers can add or remove items without any added cost to them.
Fit for purpose
Underwritten by Watford Re – an Arma Karma subscription covers for accidental damage (including water and screen damage), theft and loss.
Ethical
25% of commission revenue made on each Arma Karma subscription goes to a charity of the customer’s choice from our select panel of four.
Not forgetting our mascot
This is Karmadillo. He’s our Minister of Defence and he’s not keen on swimming.

Ben Smyth – CEO
Former London broker Ben decided over a family dinner one Sunday that he wanted to create an insurtech with a conscience. This is his second business, after the car-washing enterprise he launched aged 7.
Chris Frogner – CFO
Chris exited London’s financial sphere to join the Arma Karma vision, making those late-night conversations with Ben at Uni of starting a business together a reality.

New insurance subscription allows renters to support a good cause through their cover
Ethical insurtech Arma Karma donates 25% of commission revenue on every policy to the charity partner of the subscriber’s choice.
Insurance start-up prioritises ethics from the get-go
Start-up insurtech Arma Karma has officially switched on the green light, with renters now able to insure the items they care for most, all whilst making a positive impact on the world around them.
Can insurance do more to make a positive impact? Arma Karma thinks so
Most, if not all of us, need insurance. With money coming out of our accounts on a monthly or annual basis, it can feel as though it’s money for nothing – a necessary evil if you will.
The new generation of insurance companies – why flexibility is the aim of the game
So-called “insurtechs” are building their products around customers from the get-go, to ensure ease, flexibility, and, crucially, relevance.
